About Us:
At Currency Solutions, we are a dual-licensed, FCA-regulated foreign exchange provider. In simple terms, we help businesses make overseas payments while removing the worry of constantly changing markets. Our clients typically use our services for activities such as importing goods, paying staff abroad, or transferring foreign profits. Our clients trust us to know what we are doing, which is why training and development sit at the heart of our business. This makes Currency Solutions an exciting place for anyone looking to start their career in sales within the financial services industry. We understand that sales can be challenging and that foreign exchange is a complex market, which is why we have invested in a highly experienced Sales Coach to support individuals starting their career in FX Sales.
About the Role:
This is a new business sales position where your key focus will be onboarding new clients. You will speak with finance departments to understand their FX exposure and associated risks. In the early stages of the role, there is a strong focus on gathering information and booking meetings. Any meetings you book will be attended alongside a senior specialist, allowing you to learn from each interaction and be better prepared as your role progresses to the next stage of responsibility. For the first 18 months, this role has a strong emphasis on cold calling.
Key Duties:
- Make outbound cold calls to businesses
- Fully immerse yourself in our training and development programme
- Learn and understand the FX markets and the factors that influence market movements
- Keep the CRM system accurate and up to date
- Use lead-sourcing software such as Lusher
- Use LinkedIn to identify and target potential clients
- Collaborate with Compliance to understand business risk appetite and improve lead sourcing effectiveness
Candidate Requirements:
As outlined in the advert, we offer a broad salary range for this role. To be considered for the higher end of the salary band, we would expect some prior sales experience (industry experience is not essential). By offering the lower end of the salary band, we are also able to consider individuals with no previous sales experience, as attitude and potential are our main priorities at this stage. When starting out, we look for candidates who are:
- Well-articulated and confident on the telephone
- Driven, with a strong work ethic
- Resilient and able to handle rejection and pressure
- Keen to learn about the FX markets and develop their sales skills
What you’ll get:
- The opportunity to work in an environment where you can truly take control of your earnings
- Dedicated one-to-one support from an experienced sales trainer to give you the strongest possible start in this competitive industry
- Private healthcare
- Company pension scheme
