  • Delivering engaging health and safety inductions, toolbox talks and safety briefings — particularly for our trade teams, where new starters join every two weeks
  • Investigating accidents, near‑misses and incidents, identifying root causes and sharing learning to prevent recurrence
  • Conducting site audits and inspections, checking that our teams are working safely and addressing any issues
  • Reporting compliance data and presenting findings to our safety committee
  • Building strong relationships across the business, making safety practical and accessible at every level

What You’ll Get In Return

  • Your birthday off as an extra holiday

  • Hybrid working (3 days office, 2 days home)
  • Flexible benefits which might include a Health Cash Plan
  • Access to an Employee Assistance Programme for your own wellbeing

More About You

You're a practical, approachable health and safety professional who can explain complex safety information clearly — whether you're briefing a team of electricians on working at height or advising a director on organisational risk. You're comfortable with the administrative side of health and safety too. This role involves a significant amount of writing — risk assessments, policies, reports, COSHH documentation — and you'll need to be organised and methodical in managing a busy compliance workload across multiple priorities.

Essential

  • Practical experience of providing health and safety advice and support in an operational environment, particularly with trade or manual workforce activities
  • Experience of conducting risk assessments, audits, inspections and incident investigations
  • Experience of developing and delivering health and safety training, toolbox talks or safety briefings
  • Strong communication skills — able to engage colleagues at all levels, from trade operatives to senior leaders
  • Well organised and self‑motivated, with the ability to manage your own workload across multiple priorities
  • Full UK driving licence

Desirable

  • NEBOSH General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety (or equivalent qualification)
  • Experience in social housing, construction, facilities management or a similar property services environment
  • Experience of CDM regulations and their application to maintenance and refurbishment works

We actively welcome applications from candidates who identify as disabled, LGBTQ+, from ethnic minority backgrounds, and from our Curo customers.
