What You’ll Be Doing
- Provide procurement advice, guidance, and support to colleagues across the organisation.
- Lead end-to-end below-threshold procurements, from scoping to contract award, ensuring compliance, due diligence, and proportionate processes.
- Develop procurement strategies and routes to market based on business needs, risk assessment, and market intelligence.
- Plan and deliver market engagement activities, including supplier briefings and soft market testing, to encourage competition and innovation.
- Prepare and manage tender documentation, e-procurement processes, evaluations, moderation, and contract mobilisation.
- Support commercial negotiations, review contractual terms, analyse spend and performance data to identify savings, social value, or service improvements.
- Assist in the development and management of Framework Agreements, Dynamic Markets, and collaborative procurement opportunities.
- Maintain strong supplier and stakeholder relationships to ensure smooth procurement processes and delivery of business needs.
- Ensure all procurement activity complies with legislation, regulations, internal policies, and procurement best practice.
- Maintain accurate records, administer procurement systems, support audits, and ensure documentation is available for inspections.
- Support supplier onboarding, data management, amendments, performance monitoring, and compliance tracking throughout the contract lifecycle.
- Contribute to continuous improvement, professional development, and social sustainability initiatives within the Procurement Team.
- Take responsibility for personal health and safety, promoting a safe working environment in line with Curo's policy.

More About You
- Experience delivering regulated below-threshold procurements and supporting higher-value or complex procurements.
- Understanding of value-for-money principles and how procurement drives improved outcomes.
- Hold or be working towards a relevant procurement qualification (e.g., CIPS Level 3 or 4) and Level 3 Diploma in Business Administration or equivalent.
- GCSEs in Maths and English (grade 4/C) or equivalent.
- Knowledge of UK public sector procurement regulations (PCR 2015, Procurement Act 2023) and willingness to learn about Section 20, TUPE, and the Social Value Act.
- Experience assisting with commercial contracts, market analysis, and basic financial or spend data interpretation.
- Understanding of GDPR and data protection; experience preparing Data Sharing Agreements desirable.
- Strong IT skills, including e-tendering or contract management systems, and proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and web applications.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills with the ability to build effective stakeholder relationships.
- Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, commercial awareness, and ability to interpret and summarise data.
- Highly organised with strong administration, time management, and resilience to changing workloads and priorities.
- Customer-focused, proactive, and adaptable, using initiative within defined boundaries.
