Your Care. Our Homes. A Positive Start. Moving into a new home is a big moment. For some, it’s an exciting step. For others, it’s a fresh start after a difficult chapter. As a Lettings Advisor at Curo, you’ll be the person who helps make that transition feel smooth, supportive and positive – ensuring every new tenant feels informed, reassured and ready for what comes next.
This is a fast‑paced, end‑to‑end role. You’ll oversee the full lettings journey, from managing tenancy endings to preparing and letting homes again. Working closely with our Housing Access Managers, you’ll keep properties moving and make sure every customer gets the best possible start in their new home. It’s a role that blends people skills with precision. You’ll carry out pre‑tenancy checks, support mutual exchanges, complete compliance tasks and keep accurate records. You’ll need an eye for detail, a calm approach, and the ability to juggle several priorities without losing sight of the customer experience. You don’t need to come from a housing background. If you’ve worked in customer service, administration, lettings, or any role where you’ve balanced people, processes, and paperwork — and done it with care — you’ll have the foundations to thrive here.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Managing the end-to-end lettings process to re-let properties quickly, legally and to a high standard
- Carrying out pre-tenancy checks including credit checks, success plans and risk identification
- Making sure new tenants understand their tenancy agreement before they sign
- Delivering a legally compliant mutual exchange service – including reviews, inspections and paperwork
- Working with outgoing tenants (and where needed, next of kin) to manage tenancy endings properly
- Keeping customers updated throughout their move, so they always know where they stand
- Sharing relevant insight from success plans with the wider Tenancy Services team
- Keeping our systems accurate and up to date so colleagues can rely on the information
- Working flexibly outside normal hours occasionally to support lettings activity
What You’ll Get In Return
- 26 days annual leave per year (plus bank holidays) rising to 29 days after 3 years
- Your birthday off as an extra holiday
- Up to 10% matched pension contribution
- Hybrid working (3 days office, 2 days home)
- Flexible benefits which might include a Health Cash Plan
- Access to an Employee Assistance Programme for your own wellbeing
More About You
You’re organised, methodical and naturally calm under pressure. You take pride in getting the details right, and you can hold several priorities in your head at once without losing track. You care about doing right by people and you understand that for many of our customers, what feels routine to you is one of the biggest moments of their year. To do well in this role, here’s what we’re looking for:
- Experience in an administrative or customer-facing role in a busy, target-driven environment
- A methodical, well-organised approach with the ability to juggle competing priorities calmly
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including confidence with sensitive conversations around finances
- Good numeracy, literacy and IT skills, with accuracy and strong attention to detail
If you’ve worked in social housing, local authority housing or residential lettings – or you know your way around the legislation behind allocations and lettings – that’s a real bonus. Comfort adapting to new systems and ways of working will also stand you in good stead.
