Every day, people visit The Hub - our flagship community space at Mulberry Park in Combe Down - seeking connection and refreshment. As our Front of House Assistant, you'll be the friendly face greeting them and ensuring exceptional experiences. You'll deliver outstanding customer service across our café and community spaces. You'll rotate between the till, coffee machine, and floor service, creating a welcoming atmosphere for everyone from young families to Bath rugby players. The Hub stands out with its unique community feel – a place where all backgrounds come together. What you'll be doing:
- Your day will be diverse and energetic in this very active role.
- You’ll set up the space, arranging furniture and ensuring the café looks inviting for visitors.
- You’ll become a trained barista while developing skills across all service areas.
- One moment you’ll be taking orders and handling payments, the next delivering delicious food to tables both inside and outside.
- The menu ranges from all‑day breakfasts and sandwiches to our popular Friday night pizzas and Sunday roasts.
- You will create The Hub's welcoming atmosphere, greeting everyone from local families to VIP guests with the same warm hospitality.
- During busy periods, you will maintain composure while working efficiently.
- Behind the scenes, you’ll manage stock, ensure food safety standards, and collaborate with colleagues during busy periods.
- When customers provide feedback, you’ll respond thoughtfully to enhance their experience.

Working pattern: Part time: 20 hours flexibly per week (across 7 days) including evenings and weekends. Hours typically 8:00–18:00, with the rota provided two weeks in advance.
