As Cleaning Supervisor, you’ll play a key role in making sure our cleaning services are delivered consistently and to a high standard. You’ll lead and support a team of cleaners, coordinate day-to-day activities and make sure our offices, communal areas and other facilities remain professional, hygienic and welcoming.
This is a hands-on role that combines people leadership with practical cleaning expertise. You’ll be visible, approachable and organised, with the confidence to deal with changing priorities while keeping standards high.
What you’ll be doing:
- Supervising and supporting the cleaning team across allocated locations.
- Planning daily work, allocating tasks and making sure cleaning schedules are delivered effectively.
- Carrying out regular inspections to check that cleaning standards, health and safety requirements and agreed service levels are being met.
- Providing practical guidance, coaching and feedback to team members.
- Supporting the induction and training of new cleaners.
- Working alongside the team to complete cleaning duties when required.
- Managing cleaning materials, equipment and stock, and reporting supply requirements.
- Reporting maintenance issues, hazards, accidents and other concerns promptly.
- Responding to customer and colleague queries in a helpful and professional way.
- Keeping accurate records, including cleaning checks, staff attendance and any follow-up actions.
- Working with colleagues and contractors to resolve issues and maintain excellent service standards.
- Taking responsibility for your own health and safety and supporting safe working practices across the team.

- Experience in a cleaning, facilities or similar operational environment.
- Experience supervising, coordinating or supporting a team.
- Good knowledge of professional cleaning methods, products and equipment.
- Ability to plan work, manage competing priorities and meet agreed deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to provide clear guidance and feedback.
- Ability to complete records and use basic digital systems or a work phone.
- Understanding of health and safety requirements, including safe manual handling and the use of cleaning chemicals.
- Reliability, flexibility and a positive approach to working as part of a team.
