6 Month FTC ( possible extension) | Full Time Hybrid: office, home and community-based working As a Project Surveyor you will take ownership of repair projects providing technical solutions for residents. You will provide a full range of surveying functions and support to maintain assets, ensuring that repair works are delivered within budget constraints and controls, and against quality standards. Carry out pre work surveys, including damp and mould surveys to identify repairs and maintenance requirements Provide detailed reports and specifications of works to contractors and internal teams to remedy defects identified. Provide effective project management until completion of work, ensuring the customer experience and quality standards are understood, maintained and developed. Work closely with the local authority planning departments, ensuring the design, specification and delivery of works is carried out in accordance with statutory requirements including listed building compliance. Work closely with leaseholders to ensure standards of repairs are met in a timely manner and that repair projects comply with legal procedures to recover costs appropriately. Ensure standards are met on quality and effectiveness of all responsive maintenance. Take ownership for the robustness and integrity of repair data including financial projections and information. Agree, monitor and ensure delivery of all internal and external targets and performance indicators for my areas of responsibility. Ensure the delivery of projects maximises value for money by involving other works where practicable and involve other departments. Take responsibility for the risk and issues for the management of works, ensuring that they are managed in line with Curo’s corporate approach and CDM Regulations 2015. Ensure the end product meets Curo’s quality standards and product requirements. Ensure that all standing orders, financial regulations and policies and procedures are complied with. Ensure sound budgetary control systems are established and the financial performance of projects is effectively managed. Provide effective project forecasting, progress monitoring, cost and contract management for repair projects. Take personal responsibility for the health and safety of myself and others by working within Curo’s Health and Safety policy and procedures at all times Hold a minimum of HNC or HND Level 3 qualification in Construction or equivalent experience. Evidence ability to successfully diagnose building defects, set specification of works and project manage to completion Evidence experience of working with leaseholders, ensuring S20 compliancy, in order to deliver repair led projects to buildings and structures Bring experience of project and contract operational management delivery in relation to small/medium projects within a property services related organisation or similar experience Have a detailed understanding of managing health and safety within properties and as part of construction works, including the management of CDM, asbestos, fire, water, gas and electrical safety Have knowledge and understanding of Housing Health and Safety Rating System (HHSRS) and how to apply this method Have strong knowledge and understanding of Awaabs Law and experience of undertaking Damp and Mould surveys. Bring excellent numeracy and analytical skills, with the ability to understand and interpret statistical and financial information, make informed judgements, appraise and manage risk and convey advice as appropriate Bring excellent report writing skills and the ability to relay complex information to help support effective decision making Demonstrate commercial acumen, business awareness and strong negotiation skills Evidence I possess a valid driving license and access to transport.
