Job Description
ServiceNow Developer: ServiceNow, Advice & Guidance, Coding, Design – (RL7943)
Our Global Enterprise client is looking a Sr. ServiceNow Developer/Consultant to provide advice and guidance on all matters relating to ServiceNow implementation and technical best practice.
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: 55 days (initially)
Pay Rate: £350 p/d
IR35 Status: Outside
Location: Leeds
Responsibilities:
- Deliver high quality ServiceNow implementations based on business process requirements
- Take responsibility for design and development of ServiceNow solutions from requirements specified by Process Consultants, while working with other Consultants for guidance.
- Create high quality, and maintainable, ServiceNow configuration, customisation and code with appropriate documentation and testing.
- Contribute to and utilise Centre of Excellence and Customer implementation standards.
- Increase application operating efficiency and adapt to new requirements, as necessary.
- Utilise all sources of information and collaborate with colleagues to find the best solution for the customer requirements.
- Contribute to Centre of Excellence standards, training, mentoring.
Technical Skills:
- Over 2 years of experience in similar roles within the ServiceNow ecosystem
- Possess ServiceNow Certifications in-line with experience – System Administrator, Application Developer, Certified Implementation Specialist in ITSM and other areas.
- Good experience in ServiceNow implementation, including in depth knowledge of ServiceNow's functionality, database structure, developer APIs, development tools and techniques.
- A strong background drawn from one of the following:
- Degree in Computer Science or related disciplines.
- Experience in tech stacks for Web development & software engineering with an ability to cross-train to new technologies and languages.
- Demonstrable experience in ITIL, ITSM or similar with in-depth knowledge of Service Management tools.
Soft Skills:
- A strong desire to help others by sharing knowledge, peer reviewing, and contributing to technical and process standards
- Work well within a team, report issues and risks, take part in team meetings, share ideas and work towards improving our service.
- Excellent written & verbal communication with customers to understand and to influence.
