Our client is a well-established and growing specialist within the fire protection industry, delivering high-quality fire detection, suppression, and life safety solutions across a diverse range of commercial environments. With a reputation built on technical expertise, reliability, and exceptional customer service, they support clients throughout the full life cycle of their fire safety systems, from design and installation through to ongoing maintenance and compliance. As the business continues to expand, they are looking to strengthen their engineering team with an experienced Service Engineer.
As a Service Engineer, you will be responsible for servicing, maintaining, testing, and supporting a range of fire detection and suppression systems across customer sites throughout London and the South East. The position will involve fault finding, planned preventative maintenance, small remedial works, commissioning support, and customer liaison. You'll work closely with technical, service, and project teams to deliver an outstanding service while representing the business professionally on site. Experience within data centre environments would be highly advantageous.
We are looking for an electrically biased Service Engineer with proven experience maintaining fire detection and/or fire suppression systems. You will be a proactive problem-solver who enjoys working independently in the field while delivering excellent customer service. The successful candidate will have strong technical knowledge, excellent attention to detail, and a commitment to health and safety and industry compliance. Experience working within critical environments such as data centres would be highly beneficial, although not essential.
- Proven experience servicing and maintaining fire detection and/or fire suppression systems
- Electrical bias with strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- Good understanding of fire safety standards and regulations
- Experience carrying out planned and reactive maintenance activities
- Full UK Driving Licence
- FIA, IFEDA, or other relevant fire safety qualifications desirable
- CSCS, IPAF, PASMA or similar site certifications advantageous
- Previous experience within data centre environments highly desirable
