Location: On-site Paignton
The Client: Curo are partnering with a global company who deliver their B2B customers cutting-edge technology. Their automated test and assurance solutions accelerate technology development in the lab, and ensure new products and services perform in the real world. Their innovative portfolio of products and services address the test, assurance, and automation challenges of a new generation of technologies: 5G, SD-WAN, Cloud, Autonomous Vehicles and beyond.
The Role: As a Product Verification and Test Engineer you will be a member of the Engineering team focusing on test verification of both current and next generation Positioning test solutions. This role is electronics & systems test focused and requires hands-on manual testing experience, as well as generating test automation scripts.
The Candidate: This role would suit a candidate with a hardware/systems testing bias. The successful candidate will have hands-on experience with RF Test equipment such as power meters, frequency counters, oscilloscopes etc. This is an on-site lab-based position and requires a candidate that can accommodate predominantly on site in Paignton, Devon. The occasional day from home is viable, but ideally no less than 4 days a week on-site. You will be conducting manual testing of niche and bespoke products and systems. The core experience required is manual hardware/systems testing. This would suit an inquisitive person, who is keen to learn the workings of new products. Ideally, this role requires 2+ years of post-qualified relatable industry experience. They are happy to train and upskill, so you do not need to tick every box, we would like someone who has the right attitude and willingness to learn.
Key Responsibilities:
- Setup and perform complex test procedures in both current and next generation Positioning solutions.
- Generate and update technical documentation.
- Generate test automation scripts.
- Support the automation team to analyse and recommend automation tests.
- Troubleshooting technical issues and identifying solutions to complex problems.
- Awareness of and adherence to QEHS policies and procedures, i.e., Quality, Environment, H&S, and IT Security policies.
Job Requirements:
- BA, BEng, or HND in appropriate Engineering discipline.
- Experience in a Product Verification and Test environment.
- Experience in programming/design/Scripting languages including LabVIEW and/or Python with Unix and Windows operating systems.
- Experience in using RF lab test equipment, spectrum analysers, oscilloscopes, and power meters etc.
- Knowledge of phase modulation (BPSK, QPSK, etc.), spread spectrum, signal detection, signal and interference analysis, baseband filtering, data formatting, etc.
- Experienced in automation using engineering test equipment.
- Skilled level of MS Office applications.
Desired:
- Knowledge of digital communications, RF system analysis, FEC coding, and communications engineering.
- Demonstrable technical understanding of GNSS and related technology.
- Git/Git Hub experience.
- Pytest Experience.
- Matlab Experience.
