Product Compliance Lead
to take ownership of compliance across a diverse and exciting product portfolio. You'll be the go-to expert for customers, suppliers, testing laboratories and internal teams, leading key compliance projects, identifying and mitigating risk, and ensuring our products meet ever-evolving regulatory requirements. Along the way, you'll play a pivotal role in developing junior team members and shaping best practice across the business.
Key Duties Lead management of technical files and ensure documentation is audit ready Own customer compliance programmes and testing activities Manage compliance reviews, safety assessments and regulatory requirements Project manage compliance activity through to shipment Identify and mitigate compliance risks Support audits, customer requests and regulatory enquiries Build relationships with laboratories, suppliers and consultants Provide guidance to Product Development, Production and Sales teams Produce compliance reporting and KPIs Support and mentor junior team members Key Skills Experience in product compliance and product safety Strong understanding of technical documentation and compliance processes Excellent organisational and project management skills Ability to interpret regulations and standards Experience of working directly with overseas suppliers and manufacturing partners, ideally across Asia Strong communication and stakeholder management capability Experience within the children's products, toy, craft, stationery or book publishing industry, or a closely related consumer products environment would be preferred Experience mentoring or supporting colleagues (desirable) This role is based in our office in Bath. The successful candidate will be in commuting distance of Bath or planning to relocate.
