We are looking for a News Manager to lead our amazing team of News Writers.

Our mission is to help people understand environmental issues and their impact, by sharing climate news and actions through our newsletter, website, and social media channels. All of this is done by a dedicated team of around 30 incredible volunteers from around the world.

The News Manager is responsible for:

• Overseeing the publication of our weekly news articles
• Ensuring that articles are accurate, well researched, and in line with the curious.earth writing guidelines, Mission and Values.
• Supporting the team of around 12 writers, including scheduling the rota, communicating shifts and deadlines, and providing information and training where needed.
• Research and write articles in line with our CE writing Guidelines.
• Edit articles produced by other team members in line with the CE Writing Guidelines.
• Communicating and liaising with the wider CE teams.

• Experience of working in content, media or a related field
• Interest in environmental issues and news
• Advanced level of written English
• Experience with digital tools such as Wordpress and MailChimp
