The client is a globally recognised design studio renowned for its distinctive approach to materiality, craftsmanship and narrative-led design. Working across collectible design, luxury interiors, fine art and high-profile international commissions, the studio creates exceptional pieces that push the boundaries of design and making. This is an opportunity to join a highly creative team where ideas are taken from sketch through to fabrication within the studio's own UK workshop. Every project is bespoke, with an uncompromising focus on quality, innovation and craftsmanship.

As a Senior Designer, you will lead projects from concept through to completion, taking ownership of both self-initiated collections and private commissions. Working closely with the Creative Director and Head of Design, you will play a key role in shaping the creative direction of the studio while mentoring more junior designers. This is a hands-on position suited to someone who enjoys sketching, developing ideas, exploring materials and working closely with makers to bring beautifully resolved pieces to life. You'll come from a furniture, product, collectible design or sculptural design background with a genuine passion for craftsmanship and making.

Responsibilities
  • Lead projects from concept through to manufacture and final installation.
  • Develop innovative, narrative-led design concepts.
  • Translate creative ideas into production-ready designs.
  • Work closely with the workshop throughout the making process.
  • Collaborate with clients, consultants and specialist suppliers.
  • Support and mentor the wider design team.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously within a fast-paced studio environment.
Experience:
  • 7+ years' relevant industry experience.
  • Exceptional sketching and visual communication skills.
  • A portfolio demonstrating furniture, product or sculptural design from concept through to completion.
  • Strong understanding of materials, fabrication techniques and manufacturing processes.
  • Experience leading projects and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
  • A proactive, hands-on approach and the confidence to take ownership of your work.
Software

Rhino, KeyShot, ZBrush, Blender, AutoCAD and Adobe Creative Suite would be advantageous.
