The studio is seeking a Head of Interior Architecture who excels in shaping creative direction, leading multidisciplinary teams, and delivering highly refined interior architecture packages across luxury residential and hospitality projects. Operating from a West London studio, the practice is recognised for elegant, bespoke interiors with a strong emphasis on craftsmanship, proportion, and materiality. The studio combines timeless design with rigorous, considered project delivery. This role offers significant creative autonomy, with interior architecture at the core of defining the character and quality of each project. The ideal candidate is a senior leader motivated by shaping design outcomes, mentoring teams, and strengthening interior architecture as a central discipline within a growing studio.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor the interior architecture team, fostering a collaborative, design-led studio culture and supporting professional development.
- Set and uphold the creative and technical direction for interior architecture across luxury residential and hospitality projects, ensuring alignment with the studio’s design ethos.
- Oversee interior architecture delivery from concept through documentation, coordination, and site implementation, maintaining the highest standards of quality, programme, and budget control.
- Act as the senior interior architecture lead in client meetings, presentations, and workshops, clearly communicating design intent and technical strategy.
- Collaborate closely with FF&E, interior design, and project teams to ensure cohesive and fully integrated project delivery.
- Manage project schedules, budgets, and resources, proactively identifying and mitigating risks relating to design, documentation, or construction.
- Ensure all specifications, drawings, and design outputs meet expectations for craftsmanship, durability, and design excellence.
Skills & Experience:
- Extensive experience leading interior architecture on luxury residential and/or hospitality projects across the EMEA.
- Proven leadership experience managing and mentoring multidisciplinary design teams.
- Strong creative and technical expertise, with exceptional attention to proportion, detail, and materiality.
- Solid commercial awareness, with experience managing project budgets and delivery strategies.
- Confident client-facing skills, with experience presenting and advising at a senior level.
- Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
- Excellent knowledge of interior architecture processes, detailing, and coordination with contractors, consultants, and suppliers.
- Committed to delivering exceptional interiors that balance creativity, technical rigour, and programme requirements.
- Experience creating strong technical packs in AutoCAD.
