The client is seeking a Mid-Weight to Senior Interior Designer with strong FF&E expertise to join a close‐knit team based in Central London. This rare opportunity involves the restoration and refinement of a Grade I listed estate with significant cultural and historical importance. The successful candidate will take ownership of complex work streams, balancing historic and contemporary elements to create spaces of exceptional quality.
Responsibilities
- Source furniture, antiques, art and design bespoke furnishings, upholstery and lighting.
- Lead FF&E packages, producing concept schemes, mood boards, fabric and finish schedules, and client‐facing presentations.
- Oversee detailed specifications, schedules, budgets and procurement from concept through installation.
- Maintain strong supplier relationships and manage complex, high‐value FF&E packages.
- Deliver projects on demanding programme and budget, coordinating with contractors and artisans.
Qualifications & Experience
- BA (Hons) in Interior Design, Design or a related arts discipline.
- Proven experience within a UK‐based high‐end residential and/or boutique hospitality studio.
- Demonstrable track record delivering bespoke, luxury interior and FF&E projects.
- Strong record of sourcing ultra‐bespoke furniture, antiques, artwork and finishes.
- Proficiency in Vectorworks, Photoshop and InDesign.
- In‐depth knowledge of specialist suppliers, artisans and makers.
- Highly organised, commercially aware, and capable of managing large‐scale FF&E packages.
- Excellent negotiation skills with suppliers and contractors.
- Strong numeracy, scheduling and project planning ability.
- Experience managing extensive libraries of materials, samples, art and finishes.
- Solid understanding of artwork selection and art curation.
