The client is a design-led London-based residential property developer who is looking for a Head of Technical to join their team. Their projects range from mid-range to high-end residential apartments and mixed-use developments. Established in 2009, they are behind some of London’s most design-led properties and are seeking a highly organised, technically driven architect with experience across delivery, management, resource planning, coordination, and project leadership. This is a key hire for the business as they continue to bring more expertise in-house.
This is a unique opportunity to become part of a team of like-minded architects and designers who ideate, create, and deliver high-quality residential schemes. They place equal importance on functionality and emotion, crafting each home with meticulous care to reflect both the people who live there and the surrounding environment.
The role will be central to overseeing the technical delivery of projects from stage 2/3 to completion. You will work closely with directors and design managers to ensure design intent is carried through into construction, managing technical packages, managing resource, coordinating consultants, and maintaining quality across all stages.
You will take ownership of programme and delivery, ensuring projects are aligned with key milestones and development phases. This will involve a hands-on approach to reviewing drawing packages, resolving technical challenges, and supporting the production of coordinated information.
The Head of Technical will coordinate with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, including architects, consultants, contractors, and suppliers, ensuring all parties are aligned and working towards a consistent design and delivery outcome. This role requires strong leadership, organisation, and the ability to manage multiple complex workstreams.
They are looking for someone who wants to fully integrate into a design-focused team, someone who is comfortable being both strategic and hands-on. You will be involved across all aspects of delivery, from detailed design development through to site engagement, ensuring a high standard of execution.
This is an opportunity to work closely within a property development team that values design excellence, technical rigour, and collaborative working.
