This is an opportunity for a collaborative associate interior architect to step into a pivotal role within the client’s growing interior design and architecture studio. The studio is seeking an Associate Interior Architect who thrives on shaping sophisticated interiors, coordinating multidisciplinary teams, and delivering high-end residential and hospitality projects to the highest standard. The studio is made up of approximately 10 architects, interior designers, and creatives working across residential and hospitality projects from a West London studio. Interior Architecture is a core part of the studio’s design offering, and this role will be instrumental in delivering refined, technically robust, and highly detailed interiors that reflect the studio’s signature craftsmanship and design excellence. The studio encourages creative autonomy, with no fixed house style, and supports a collaborative approach to project outcomes. This role is suited to an interior architect who is passionate about design, meticulous in delivery, and motivated to contribute to the growth of a specialist, high-end studio team. The role requires a mentor who can work closely with the Head of Architecture and nurture an ambitious team. This opportunity balances management with hands-on involvement, for those who want to remain close to projects. The client also requires an Associate who is confident in a client-facing role and has experience in operations and the commercial management of delivering successful projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead interior architecture projects from concept through to detailed design, ensuring cohesion with the studio’s creative vision.
  • Prepare and oversee technical drawings (in AutoCAD), specifications, and documentation, coordinating with consultants, contractors, and project teams.
  • Act as a key point of contact for clients, participating in presentations, workshops, and project meetings to communicate design intent and progress.
  • Support and mentor junior team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performing studio culture.
  • Oversee the successful implementation of interiors on site, maintaining quality, programme, and budget standards.
  • Ensure all design and technical outputs meet the studio’s standards for detail, functionality, and craftsmanship.
