This is an opportunity for a technically focused and delivery-driven Technical Architect or experienced Architectural Technician to join a London-based residential developer delivering high-end, design-led residential and heritage projects across Central London. The company is recognised for its integrated approach to development, combining creative, technical, and commercial expertise into a highly collaborative and streamlined delivery process, from shell and core through to interiors and final finishes.

The role will focus on large-scale and technically complex residential and heritage-led schemes, working primarily across RIBA Stages 3–5. The successful candidate will play a key role in developing coordinated technical packages, managing consultant and subcontractor coordination, and supporting successful project delivery through both detailed technical design and on-site involvement. This position is suited to someone who enjoys technical stages, thrives in detailed problem-solving, and is confident working across both micro and macro levels of project delivery within a client-side environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and coordinate detailed architectural and façade design packages across complex residential and heritage projects.
  • Lead technical design development through RIBA Stages 3–5, ensuring information is coordinated, buildable, and delivered to programme.
  • Produce, manage, and review detailed drawing packages, specifications, schedules, and tender documentation.
  • Coordinate with consultants, contractors, subcontractors, and specialist suppliers throughout technical and construction stages.
  • Support tender processes, package coordination, and construction sequencing.
  • Oversee technical delivery on-site, responding to RFIs, site queries, and technical coordination issues as projects progress.
  • Monitor design quality and ensure technical consistency throughout all project stages.
  • Collaborate closely with internal development, design, and construction teams to support efficient project delivery.
  • Maintain clear communication with clients, consultants, stakeholders, and wider project teams.
  • Support compliance with UK Building Regulations, Building Safety Act requirements, and Gateway processes where applicable.
Requirements & Experience:
  • ARB-registered Architect or experienced Architectural Technician / Technologist with strong technical delivery experience.
  • Proven experience delivering large-scale residential, heritage, or listed building projects through technical and construction stages.
  • Strong understanding of façade detailing, technical coordination, construction sequencing, and package delivery.
  • Experience producing and managing detailed technical drawing and tender packages.
  • Strong site coordination and construction-stage experience.
  • Proficiency in ArchiCAD or Revit is essential.
  • Good understanding of UK Building Regulations and technical compliance requirements.
  • Knowledge of the Building Safety Act and Gateway processes would be beneficial but is not essential.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and coordination skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and work effectively within multidisciplinary project teams.
  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and confident taking ownership of technical delivery responsibilities.
