Pharmaceutical Production Operator – Day/Back shift Monday to Friday – Glasgow, G20 0XA
Hours: Day/Back shift 6.30 to 2.30 and 2pm to 10pm. Starting salary up to £32,000 (including shift allowance).
This position is for a pharmaceutical production operator to join our aseptic manufacturing team supporting the development of new medicines, primarily sterile injectable products.
Curia works to a high standard of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) within a sterile environment.
Curia provides top training and development in our niche area of expertise, starting with reading and understanding standard operating procedures before applying this knowledge to cleanroom manufacturing activities.
Full training will be provided for bespoke Curia processes, suitable for science graduates; experience in a similar environment is also desirable.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Preparation and sterilisation of equipment for use in clean rooms including components, raw materials, equipment, peripherals, and cleaning equipment.
- Sterile cleaning of Grade A cleanrooms.
- Manufacturing of products in compliance with all relevant internal procedures, c GMP and customer‑specific documentation.
- Final filling and associated monitoring of manufactured product in compliance with all relevant internal procedures, c GMP and customer‑specific documentation.
- Reconciliation of bulk solution, waste, vials, finished product.
- Accurate and timely completion of batch manufacturing records, worksheets, and logbooks to the required standard.
- Daily recording of clean‑room over‑pressure.
- Ensuring training record folders are suitably maintained to show competency for each activity performed.
- Acting as a team player across Production.
- Maintaining housekeeping standards and audit readiness of the facility with a safety‑first mindset.
- Previous Experience and Qualifications
- Previous experience in a similar pharmaceutical production environment is preferred.
- Strong understanding of GMP requirements and quality systems gained through working in a regulated GMP environment.
- Science‑related academic qualification or equivalent industry work experience.
- High level of communication skills—both verbal and written.
- Safety‑first, quality‑focused mindset with strong attention to detail.
- Flexible approach to ensure work is complete and able to work overtime when required.
