Are you a hands-on HR Manager looking for a role where you can truly make an impact? We are looking for an experienced HR professional to take ownership of a standalone HR Manager role within a fast-paced, growing business. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives in a commercial environment and enjoys balancing strategic recruitment with day-to-day people management.
We are particularly keen to hear from candidates with experience from mobile phone retail, telecoms, network providers or fast-paced retail environments. This role will play a key part in supporting store growth, improving recruitment strategy and driving employee engagement across the business.
The HR Manager Role
- Leading the full HR lifecycle, with a strong focus on recruitment, employee relations and manager support.
- Owning and delivering the end-to-end recruitment strategy.
- Leading high-volume recruitment campaigns across multiple stores.
- Partnering with managers to improve hiring quality and retention.
- Embedding inclusive recruitment practices and improving attraction methods.
- Supporting onboarding and creating a strong new starter journey.
- Acting as a trusted advisor on all people matters.
- Managing employee relations including absence, performance and disciplinary processes.
- Supporting managers with coaching and people development.
- Managing HR data, reporting and workforce planning.
- Supporting payroll processes and maintaining HR systems.
- Reviewing and improving HR policies and procedures.
- Supporting wellbeing initiatives and occupational health processes.
The HR Manager Candidate
We are looking for someone who is confident, commercially minded and able to work independently. You will ideally have:
- HR Generalist experience within retail or telecoms.
- Strong recruitment and talent attraction experience.
- Experience within mobile phone retail / network providers highly desirable.
- Strong employee relations and performance management experience.
- Up-to-date knowledge of employment law.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- A proactive and hands-on approach.
- The ability to work autonomously in a standalone HR role.
The HR Manager Package
- Salary £45,000 – £50,000.
