Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
About Us
CureVita Care is a specialist provider of complex health and social care services, supporting adults and children with a wide range of health conditions, disabilities and additional support needs. We work closely with individuals, families, healthcare professionals and commissioning teams to deliver safe, compassionate and person-centred care.
Our focus is on promoting dignity, independence and quality of life while maintaining high standards of safety, safeguarding and clinical governance. As we continue to develop our services, we are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Compliance Officer to help strengthen our compliance framework and support the delivery of consistently high-quality care.
The Role
As Compliance Officer, you will play a key role in maintaining and improving compliance across CureVita Care's services. Working closely with operational and clinical teams, you will help ensure that our policies, procedures, documentation and working practices meet relevant Care Quality Commission (CQC) requirements and applicable health and social care regulations.
This is an opportunity for someone who understands the practical realities of compliance within a regulated care environment and can turn regulatory requirements into clear processes, effective quality assurance and meaningful improvements.
You will take ownership of day-to-day compliance activities, identify potential risks before they become issues, and help foster a culture in which safeguarding, accountability and quality are embedded in everything we do.
Key Responsibilities
- CQC compliance and regulatory readiness: Maintain awareness of relevant legislation, regulatory guidance and CQC requirements, ensuring policies and practices remain current and services are prepared for regulatory scrutiny.
- Audits and quality assurance: Plan and conduct internal audits, review care documentation and staff records, identify gaps, and monitor the implementation of corrective actions.
- Policies and procedures: Develop, review and maintain policies, procedures, compliance trackers and supporting documentation to reflect regulatory requirements and organisational practice.
- Staff compliance: Monitor essential training, DBS checks, right-to-work documentation, references, qualifications and other relevant employment and competency records.
- Safeguarding and incident management: Support the review of incidents, complaints and safeguarding concerns, ensuring appropriate documentation, escalation and follow-up in line with organisational procedures and regulatory requirements.
- Risk management: Identify compliance risks, maintain relevant records and risk assessments, and work with colleagues to implement proportionate actions to reduce risk.
- Training and guidance: Support staff and managers to understand their compliance responsibilities, communicate regulatory updates and promote consistent best practice.
- Continuous improvement: Produce clear reports on audit findings, compliance performance and outstanding actions, providing senior management with visibility of risks and progress.
About You
We are looking for someone who combines strong attention to detail with a practical, solutions-focused approach. You will be comfortable working independently, managing competing priorities and constructively challenging practices when improvements are needed.
Essential experience and skills:
- Previous experience in compliance, quality assurance or a similar role within health and social care or another relevant regulated healthcare environment.
- A sound understanding of CQC requirements, health and social care regulations, safeguarding and quality standards.
- Experience conducting audits, reviewing documentation, identifying compliance gaps and following up on corrective actions.
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to maintain accurate records and manage multiple deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain regulatory requirements clearly to colleagues.
- A proactive approach to risk identification, problem-solving and continuous improvement.
- The confidence to work with operational teams and senior management to maintain standards and address concerns professionally.
- Direct experience supporting CQC inspections or preparing a regulated care service for inspection.
- Experience within complex care, community care, learning disabilities, mental health or paediatric care services.
- Experience developing compliance frameworks, audit schedules, policies or quality improvement plans.
- Relevant qualifications or professional training in compliance, health and social care, quality assurance or safeguarding.
Why Join CureVita Care?
- Make a meaningful impact: Help protect the people we support by strengthening safety, safeguarding and quality across our services.
- Take ownership: Play a key role in developing and improving our compliance processes as the organisation grows.
- Work collaboratively: Build effective working relationships with operational and clinical colleagues to turn compliance requirements into practical improvements.
- Shape continuous improvement: Help establish consistent standards, identify opportunities for development and contribute to a strong culture of accountability.
