Cure Talent is delighted to be partnering with an innovative medical device company based in southwest London, as they appoint the first dedicated Senior Manufacturing Engineer. The business designs and manufactures a clinically approved medical device used in the treatment of wound and surgical site infections. With strong commercial momentum and international expansion underway, they are now entering an important phase of scaling their manufacturing capability. This is not a steady state factory role. This is a hands‑on build and scale opportunity within a growing MedTech business.
The opportunity Manufacturing is currently led by the engineering team, with production delivered through a manual assembly process. The business is now creating a dedicated manufacturing space and is looking for someone to take ownership of formalising and developing this function. You will play a key role in structuring manufacturing operations, improving production control, enhancing process robustness, and supporting increased output as demand grows. Over time, you will build and lead a small manufacturing team and help shape the long term manufacturing strategy.
Key responsibilities- Establish and develop a dedicated manufacturing area
- Define and optimise assembly processes, documentation and production controls
- Introduce structured planning, scheduling and inventory management
- Ensure ISO 13485 compliant manufacturing processes in collaboration with QMS and engineering
- Support the recruitment and development of a small manufacturing team
- Degree qualified in engineering, ideally electronic/electrical or manufacturing
- Experience within a regulated manufacturing environment, ideally medical devices
- Background in low volume, high value production environments
- Comfortable operating in hands on settings and building processes from the ground up
- Ambition to grow into or further develop within a manufacturing leadership role
