Cure Talent are excited to partner with a long-established and growing engineering and manufacturing business, serving customers across multiple high-tech regulated industries. Due to continued investment and expansion into a new state-of-the-art facility, they’re now looking to appoint a Senior Physicist / Electromagnetics Engineer to join their R&D team and play a key role in driving forward innovation and product development.

The Role:

  • Lead the design, simulation, and testing of electromagnetic and shielding solutions across a range of sectors.
  • Manage and deliver R&D projects from concept through to completion, ensuring quality, timelines, and budgets are met.
  • Supervise and mentor junior engineers and scientists, providing technical guidance and leadership.
  • Conduct simulation and modelling using tools such as ANSYS and Maxwell 3D, alongside programming in Python or similar.
  • Liaise with customers and external partners, providing high-level technical support and consultancy.
  • Support funding and grant applications, contributing to collaborative R&D projects and new technology initiatives.

About You:

  • Degree (BSc, MSc or PhD) in Physics, Electronics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years’ relevant industry experience, ideally with project or team leadership responsibilities.
  • Strong technical grounding in electromagnetics and related simulation tools.
  • Experienced in R&D project delivery within an ISO9001-controlled environment.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with a proactive and innovative approach.
