Developing next generation optical monitoring solutions designed to deliver medical grade physiological insights beyond the hospital environment, the business is now transitioning from research and development into industrialisation and regulated market entry.

We have an opportunity for a Software Engineer to join the organisation at a pivotal point in its journey. This role will play a key part in shaping the software architecture and wider software ecosystem surrounding a next-generation wearable medical device platform, supporting everything from device integration and SDK development through to desktop applications and clinical study workflows.

  • Lead the design and development of scalable software architecture for wearable medical device platforms and associated applications
  • Develop and maintain SDKs, software interfaces and companion applications supporting connected medical devices
  • Support the integration of signal processing algorithms into validated production-ready software solutions
  • Ensure software development activities comply with IEC 62304 and broader medical device development requirements
  • Generate and maintain software documentation including specifications, traceability, verification and validation activities
  • Work closely with firmware, hardware, systems, quality and data science teams to ensure robust cross-functional integration and delivery

Strong experience developing software applications using technologies such as C++, C#, .NET or similar

  • Proven experience working within medical devices or other regulated environments, with hands-on exposure to IEC 62304
  • Experience designing software architecture and building maintainable, scalable software systems
  • Experience integrating software with connected or wireless hardware devices
  • Strong understanding of the medical device software development lifecycle, including verification, validation and design control activities
  • Experience developing SDKs or interfacing software for connected medical devices
  • Experience supporting signal processing or physiological monitoring technologies
  • Exposure to Linux-based systems, cloud-connected applications or device ecosystems
