Cure Talent are thrilled to be working with a pioneering early-stage medical technology company developing a revolutionary platform for the scalable, low-cost production of lifesaving therapies.
Due to continued growth, we have an exciting opportunity for a hands-on Development Engineer to join their multidisciplinary team. With funding secured and a clear roadmap to market, this is a rare chance to shape a product from prototype through to launch, and beyond.
The successful Development Engineer will be a key member of the engineering team, working on the design, testing and optimisation of complex electro-mechanical systems. The work is varied and practical, involving mechanical and electrical builds, troubleshooting, test design, instrumentation, data analysis and iterative improvements. You will contribute directly to the development of pre-production prototypes and later transition to support commissioning as the company moves toward commercial deployment.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Assembling and modifying rigs and prototypes (mechanical, electrical and electronic)
- Commissioning and fault-finding systems
- Designing and executing development tests
- Analysing test data and reporting findings to the product development team
- Creating protocols and reports
- Working within quality systems and lab practices
What They’re Looking For:
- A hands-on engineer with experience in development or test roles
- Background in mechanical, electrical or electronic engineering (degree or equivalent)
- Skilled in prototyping, fault-finding and interpreting technical drawings
- Comfortable designing and running tests, analysing results and suggesting improvements
- Familiar with lab safety, quality systems (e.g. ISO 9001), and basic CAD tools
