Job Description
Cure Talent are delighted to be supporting a global leader in infection-control solutions for healthcare, specialising in the design and manufacture of sluice-room equipment used in hospitals and care facilities worldwide.
We’re seeking a hands-on Design Engineer to join the Engineering team. You’ll be involved in a wide variety of projects, from creating and improving designs to supporting production, purchasing and quality. This is a practical, varied role where you’ll help ensure the products meet rigorous regulatory standards while supporting the growth of the company’s expanding portfolio.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Creating new designs and improving existing products
- Producing build documentation, QA procedures and engineering change notes
- Carrying out product and prototype testing, approving improvements and implementation
- Updating and maintaining CAD drawings, layouts and Bills of Materials
- Supporting cost-reduction and quality-improvement activities
- Visiting and approving suppliers as required
What We’re Looking For:
- HND or Degree in Design Engineering, minimum 5 years’ experience in design engineering
- Strong CAD capability (Inventor, SolidWorks or similar), with knowledge of sheet metal, injection moulding, castings and electro-mechanical systems
- Understanding of QA processes, product testing and Design for Manufacture principles
- Confident producing drawings to BS 8888, with knowledge of GD&T
- Practical mechanical aptitude with strong problem-solving and fault-finding skills
