Job Description

Cure Talent are delighted to be supporting a pioneering medical device manufacturer based in South-West London. As they continue to expand their global reach, we have an exciting opportunity for a Design Engineer to join their growing Product Engineering team.

This business designs and manufactures its own innovative wound and infection treatment devices on-site. With approvals already in place across Europe and expansion into new markets including the USA underway, this is a great time to join a forward-thinking organisation making a real-world impact.

As the new Design Engineer, you’ll play a key role in shaping the design of innovative medical devices. You’ll be joining a dynamic, supportive team at an exciting stage of growth, with training and development provided to help you build your skills and realise your potential. With the business expanding its engineering capability, this is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic engineer to make a real impact.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the design and development of new medical device products.
  • Design and validate test methods to evaluate product reliability.
  • Maintain design documentation in line with ISO 13485 and FDA requirements.
  • Contribute to design control, risk management and usability studies.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders including RA, QA, Clinical and Operations.
  • Provide support to manufacturing and after-sales activities, including occasional travel to customer sites.

About You:

  • Degree in electronic, electrical or a related engineering discipline.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ engineering experience.
  • Knowledge of ISO 13485 and MDR reporting requirements.
  • Experience with CAD drawings, MS Office and related IT tools.
