Cure Talent is delighted to partner with a global manufacturing company undergoing a significant growth phase. As part of this, we have a newly created role for a HSE Advisor to support ongoing operations and major capital projects across a highly regulated site, with a particular focus on developing and embedding the procedural, training and human factors aspects of process safety.
The site is on a clear journey towards full COMAH compliance as new processes are introduced, and this role will play a key part in building the systems, procedures and behaviours required to support this transition. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in shaping process safety standards within a complex manufacturing environment, supporting compliance programmes, major hazard management and ensuring the highest standards of safety, risk management and operational readiness across the site.
- Lead COMAH compliance programmes and maintain the Major Accident Prevention Policy
- Manage and improve the site’s COMAH Safety Management System (SMS)
- Oversee DSEAR compliance, including risk assessments and action tracking
- Act as the site SME for process safety, leading the development of procedures, emergency response plans, training programmes and human factors integration
- Support commissioning, validation and operational readiness for new processes
Strong knowledge of COMAH and DSEAR regulations within a UK manufacturing environment. Strong experience in COMAH environments, with a focus on operational process safety, procedures, training and workforce engagement. Experience working in a regulated, major hazard or pharmaceutical setting. Hands-on experience with risk assessment methodologies such as HAZOP, LOPA or SIL. Proven experience managing compliance programmes and risk registers. Degree in Engineering, Science or similar, plus NEBOSH qualification.
