Cure Talent is delighted to partner with a global manufacturing company undergoing a significant growth phase. As part of this, we have a newly created role for a HSE Advisor to support ongoing operations and major capital projects across a highly regulated site, with a particular focus on developing and embedding the procedural, training and human factors aspects of process safety.

The site is on a clear journey towards full COMAH compliance as new processes are introduced, and this role will play a key part in building the systems, procedures and behaviours required to support this transition. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in shaping process safety standards within a complex manufacturing environment, supporting compliance programmes, major hazard management and ensuring the highest standards of safety, risk management and operational readiness across the site.

Key responsibilities:
  • Lead COMAH compliance programmes and maintain the Major Accident Prevention Policy
  • Manage and improve the site’s COMAH Safety Management System (SMS)
  • Oversee DSEAR compliance, including risk assessments and action tracking
  • Act as the site SME for process safety, leading the development of procedures, emergency response plans, training programmes and human factors integration
  • Lead Management of Change (MoC) activities, ensuring procedural and behavioural controls are clearly defined and embedded
  • Support commissioning, validation and operational readiness for new processes
What we’re looking for:
  • Strong knowledge of COMAH and DSEAR regulations within a UK manufacturing environment
  • Strong experience in COMAH environments, with a focus on operational process safety, procedures, training and workforce engagement
  • Experience working in a regulated, major hazard or pharmaceutical setting
  • Hands-on experience with risk assessment methodologies such as HAZOP, LOPA or SIL
  • Proven experience managing compliance programmes and risk registers
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills
  • Degree in Engineering, Science or similar, plus NEBOSH qualification

This is an excellent opportunity to join a global organisation with significant investment and growth plans, offering a newly created role with real influence across site safety and operations. You’ll gain exposure to major capital projects and complex manufacturing processes, with clear career progression available.

If you’re an experienced HSE professional looking to take ownership of a critical function within a growing site, we’d love to hear from you.
