Cure Talent are excited to partner with an innovative global medical organisation renowned for driving engineering excellence. We’re seeking a NPI Engineer to join their team. The new NPI Engineer will be responsible for delivering robust solutions throughout the full product lifecycle. From concept generation through to design transfer and compliance, you’ll take ownership of the mechanical design output, ensure technical assurance, and actively contribute to innovation, quality, and delivery of breakthrough engineering solutions.
Key responsibilities:
- Generate, evaluate and develop mechanical concepts in line with end-user requirements and manufacturing technologies
- Lead or support engineering activities including prototyping, testing and risk analysis (FMEA)
- Produce and maintain accurate technical documentation such as BOMs, drawings, specifications and design validation records
- Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure designs meet regulatory requirements
- Communicate findings through written reports and presentations, contributing to project plans and stage-gate reviews
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A BEng in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent) with proven industry experience, ideally within medical devices or a regulated environment
- A track record of delivering products from concept through to production within relevant quality systems
- Hands-on experience with prototyping, FEA, tolerance analysis and Six Sigma or DFMA tools
- Strong communication skills with the ability to write reports, present findings and influence stakeholders
- A collaborative and proactive approach to problem-solving, planning and continuous improvement
