Cure Talent is working with a growing medical diagnostics company to recruit a Clinical Application & Service Specialist as it expands its UK team. The company develops specialist diagnostic technology used during surgical procedures, working closely with endocrine and ENT surgeons, theatre teams and hospital laboratories. With a rapidly growing UK customer base, they are looking for someone to join their existing specialist in supporting customers across the country. This is a varied, hands-on position combining clinical support, technical applications, customer training and equipment servicing. We're particularly interested in people with a strong clinical background who enjoy working directly with surgeons and theatre teams, but who are equally comfortable getting hands-on with medical technology. The role is field-based, supporting customers across the UK, with occasional travel to Ireland and Europe. Travel can account for up to 80% of the role, including regular overnight stays, occasional Saturday work and short-notice travel. Candidates based in the South of England would be particularly well placed. What will you be doing? Providing clinical and technical support to surgeons and operating theatre teams. Delivering product demonstrations, installations and training to new and existing customers. Supporting clinicians with equipment operation, sample handling, troubleshooting and result interpretation. Performing equipment calibrations, preventative maintenance and basic technical repairs. Responding to urgent customer enquiries and resolving technical or application issues in clinical environments. Working closely with commercial and engineering colleagues to support customers and the continued growth of the UK business. What are we looking for? Proven experience within medical devices, clinical applications, surgical support or diagnostics. Experience supporting surgeons or clinical teams in an operating theatre environment is strongly preferred, although candidates from relevant clinical applications backgrounds will also be considered. A practical, technically minded individual who enjoys troubleshooting and understanding how medical equipment works. Strong communication skills and the confidence to train and support clinical professionals. The ability to work independently, adapt to changing priorities and remain composed in demanding clinical environments. A relevant medical or scientific qualification, or equivalent practical experience. Experience in surgical technology, intraoperative monitoring, clinical applications or point-of-care diagnostics could provide a particularly relevant background. The opportunity This position would suit someone who enjoys the clinical environment but wants a broader role combining intraoperative diagnostic technology, technical problem-solving and customer relationships. You'll join a growing business where you'll work directly with customers, have considerable autonomy and play an important role in supporting the adoption of its technology across the UK
