We are seeking an experienced and reliable Taxi Card Payment System Installer/Fitter to join our growing team on a contract basis. The role involves installing, maintaining, and supporting in-vehicle card payment systems, CCTV equipment, and taxi meters across licensed London taxis (black cabs and fleet vehicles). This position is ideal for a hands-on technician who takes pride in delivering quality installations, enjoys working independently, and values customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and maintain the following systems in licensed taxis:
- Curb VTS Payment System
- Curb CCTV System
- Curb Taxi Meter
- Formstack (using assigned tablet)
- Group Slack channels
Requirements:
- Proven experience in vehicle electronics installation, ideally within the taxi, automotive, or telematics sectors.
- Strong understanding of vehicle wiring, diagnostics, and in-car technology.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Right to work in the UK.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Desirable (Not Essential):
- Experience installing payment systems, CCTV, or taxi meters.
- Knowledge of Transport for London (TfL) taxi standards and compliance.
- Previous work with taxi fleets or black cab operators.
