Fronteer Gallery are looking for artwork for our Summer Open exhibition. There is no theme; artists from across the UK may submit work in any medium, except audio.

Submission Requirements

  • One piece per artist.
  • Wall‑mounted work: any size/shape, but no more than 70 × 70 cm of wall space.
  • Sculpture/3‑D work: must fit on a 30 × 30 cm plinth and not exceed 50 cm height × 30 cm × 30 cm.
  • Provide a short description (≤ 100 words) to be displayed alongside the work.
  • Up to three images: one full view, two detail shots.
  • Work must be ready to hang/display with appropriate mounting.
  • Canvas prints are not acceptable as substitutes for original artwork.

Deadlines

  • Submission deadline: 6 June 2026.
  • Successful artists notified by 8 June 2026.
  • Artwork to be delivered by 18 June 2026 (by post or in‑person 9–18 June).
  • Fee (if selected): £40, due by 18 June 2026.

Exhibition Dates & Events

  • Exhibition running 7–23 July 2026.
  • Private view: Saturday 4 July 4–6 pm.

Fees & Commission & Collection

  • Selected artists pay £40 fee.
  • Artwork may be sold during the exhibition; commission 10%.
  • Work can be collected from the gallery 4–13 Aug 2026 or returned by post (handling & postage fees apply).

Fronteer is a husband‑and‑wife artist‑led initiative that has been offering exhibition opportunities since 2020. Our gallery, located in Orchard Square, Sheffield city centre, features two exhibition spaces and attracts over 300 visitors during a three‑week show.
