Curated Search is exclusively partnering with a highly regarded luxury design studio to appoint an experienced Product Engineering Manager.
Working directly with the Founder and senior leadership team, you'll play a key role in the technical development of bespoke womenswear, menswear and accessories for an exceptional portfolio of luxury hospitality and retail brands.
This is a hands on role with responsibility for garment engineering, product quality and technical development from concept through to production.
The Role
- Manage garment engineering across multi product collections from concept through to production.
- Own garment construction, fit, grading, technical specifications, product testing and quality standards.
- Advise on fabrics, trims, raw materials and garment functionality to ensure products are fit for purpose, commercially viable and engineered for performance.
- Work closely with Design, Product Development, Pattern Cutting, suppliers and factories throughout the development process.
- Manage technical fit sessions, product approvals, wearer trials and quality evaluations.
- Continuously improve product quality, technical standards and manufacturing processes.
- Build strong relationships with international suppliers, factories and clients, providing technical expertise throughout each project.
- Support and manage the Garment Technologist, contributing to the continued development of the technical function.
- Key Skills & Experience
- Luxury or premium apparel experience is essential.
- Excellent garment construction, fit, grading and pattern cutting knowledge.
- Experience across womenswear, menswear and multi product collections.
- Strong understanding of fabrics, textile performance, trims, raw materials and product testing.
- Experience engineering products for quality, durability and commercial performance.
- Strong knowledge of technical specifications and quality standards.
- Experience working with international suppliers and manufacturers.
- Confident presenting technical solutions to clients and senior stakeholders.
- Strong commercial awareness with the ability to balance quality, functionality and cost.
