We are supporting the appointment of an Engineering Manager or Senior Engineering Manager for a well-established residential developer delivering multiple housing schemes across London and the South East. This is a key technical role, responsible for managing projects from land acquisition through to delivery and adoption. The position combines engineering coordination, infrastructure management, drainage design, technical approvals and project leadership across residential developments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead engineering, infrastructure and drainage packages across residential developments from acquisition to adoption
- Manage civil engineering design coordination, utilities, highways and technical approvals
- Oversee S278, S38 and S104 agreements alongside planning and statutory approvals
- Coordinate consultants, surveys, technical reporting and pre-construction information
- Manage engineering risks, programme delivery, budgets and cost control
- Support planning submissions, discharge of conditions and infrastructure delivery
- Build strong relationships with local authorities, water authorities, utilities and external consultants
- Coordinate inspections, remedial works and adoption processes for roads and sewers
Candidate Profile:
- Experience within residential development, housebuilding or civil engineering environments
- Strong background in infrastructure, highways, drainage and utilities coordination
- Knowledge of S278, S38, S104 agreements and adoption processes
- Experience managing consultants, technical design packages and engineering approvals
- Strong project management, programme coordination and stakeholder management skills
- Commercial awareness with experience managing budgets, risks and delivery programmes
- Able to manage multiple residential schemes within fast-paced development environments
- Background as Engineering Manager, Senior Engineering Manager, Technical Manager, Civil Engineer, Infrastructure Engineer or Development Engineer preferred
Offering:
- Salary circa £75k to £85k plus £6,000 car allowance
