Job Overview: The Front of House Ticketing Assistant is responsible for managing the ticket collection process at the two music venues within the festival. This role is crucial for ensuring a smooth entry process for attendees and providing excellent customer service.
- Oversee the ticket collection and selling point
- Ensure that all ticketing equipment and materials are set up properly and functioning correctly.
- Verify tickets, issue correct wrist bands and manage guest lists, ensuring that all attendees are admitted according to ticket type
- Sell tickets using contactless payment system (training provided)
- Check tickets at venue doors, ensuring only those with valid tickets are admitted to performances
Customer Service:
- Provide a warm welcome to all festival-goers and assist with any queries related to ticketing.
- Resolve ticketing disputes or issues efficiently and professionally.
- Guide guests to their respective venues and help them navigate the venues (e.g. direct customers to lifts, toilets etc)
- Work closely with security personnel to manage queues and ensure a safe environment for all attendees.
- Communicate effectively with other front of house staff and event coordinators to report and resolve any issues swiftly.
Reporting and Documentation:
- Maintain accurate records of ticket collections and any ticketing issues.
- Prepare end-of-day reports summarising ticketing activities and any relevant incidents.
Qualifications:
- Experience in customer service or ticketing roles
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and efficiently.
- Familiarity with ticketing systems and basic technological equipment.
- A friendly and approachable demeanour.
