This is a remote role. You may be required to work at Curated Place’s HQ in Manchester and other workplaces wherever Curated Place projects take place for temporary periods of delivery (travel expenses paid by Curated Place).

Start Date: 20/04/2024

As a Creative Producer at Curated Place, you play a pivotal role in the conceptualisation, planning, and execution of festivals, events and creative productions. Working under the guidance of the Senior Producer, you collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure creative excellence, alignment with the Curated Place and event brand, the client/brief, outputs and outcomes.

Your responsibilities span from project initiation to delivery, encompassing artistic community engagement, resource management, and budget oversight and scheduling. Your job description may be amended by us and, in addition to duties set out in the job description, you may be required to undertake additional or other reasonable duties as necessary to meet the needs of our business.

The role is responsible for:

  • Client liaison, communication, management and record keeping
  • Management and delivery of Curated Place events and production activities across the full company portfolio of events traveling nationally and internationally where required
  • Live production management and delivery on site including artist liaison, logistics, H&S oversight and documentation
  • Meeting production targets including artwork development and delivery, audience development and income generation
  • The management of designated Curated Place budgets and any other project budgets
  • Pitching, fundraising, and stakeholder management
  • Recruiting and managing any sub contractors to deliver productions where approved by the senior producer and in accordance with budgets available
  • Developing strategic networks alongside the delivery of Curated Place’s business plan internationally
  • Report to Senior Producer and work alongside extended team to ensure work is conceptually and creatively robust, representative of the festival brand, and client/brief appropriate whilst balancing production
  • Work to produce festival programmes, technical production and delivery for the festival, including branding, PR, photography, understanding the scale of the festival production and aligning resources
  • Engage with the local artistic community, engaging and resourcing artists and creatives as required for effective and successful live event delivery
  • Manage the end-to-end process from creative, pre-production to post-production including securing additional resources and funding
  • Prepare accurate and detailed schedules, ensure projects run on time and within budget
  • Liaise with creatives, clients, and partners to prepare contracts, negotiate scope and usage rights
  • Support relationships with commercial teams to gather direction with festival delivery team
  • Support Events team on production requirements for live events
  • Collaborate with the creative team to support creative ideas while balancing practicalities and necessities of live production delivering on festival brand strategy
  • Proactively solve problems to elevate creativity and find solutions in tough situations, pulling from your toolbox of experience in production
  • Work with Senior Producers to ensure budgets are adhered to
  • Create a clear briefing framework for all open call campaigns and ensure all members of the team work to this
  • Maintain current knowledge of funding streams, production, and policy and procedure trends through self-study
  • Write project marketing copy and blogs for Curated Place and individual project as required
  • Be proficient in securing and maintaining high level stakeholder relationships
  • Work as part of the overall team to produce reports and presentations as required
  • Any other duties that may be required or assigned in line with the role of Creative Producer
  • Represent and be an advocate for Curated Place regionally, nationally and internationally

REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be able to multitask and be flexible enough to react under stressful circumstances
  • Possess exceptional communication skills, both orally and in writing

  • Consistently able to craft a story through written communications
  • Strong attention to detail and highly organised, with experience in MS Office software and other digital platforms (experience in other digital collaboration tools including Slack, Airtable, Asana, Miro, Google Workspace etc. a bonus)
  • Demonstrate a strong ability to identify potential risks in event production and develop strategies to mitigate them
  • Be abreast of industry trends and innovations in event production, technology, and experiential marketing
  • Advocate for and implement sustainable practices in event production
  • Experience in booking multidisciplinary events

Person Specification

  • Be able to balance creative and production depending on size of job, or if using external agencies
  • Be a leader and creative influencer to your team and the wider business
  • Be a team player, a creative thinker with excellent communication skills
  • Be a Curated Place and brand/event/festival ambassador and represent within our mission statements
  • Proficient at scoping, budgeting and building out initial proposals for festival and festival events
  • Adept with the creation of feasibility, costing and timing plans, schedules etc.
  • A comprehensive understanding of experiential production, structures, branding etc.
  • Multiple Supplier briefing and management contacts and experience
  • Familiar and competent with transportation and logistics
  • Knowledge of power, lighting and AV is an advantage
  • Internal and external stakeholder management
  • Available for the duration of on site delivery, board meetings etc.

QUALIFICATIONS Required

  • A minimum of 5 years experience with end-to-end process of event planning, execution, and post-event analysis
  • A bachelor's degree in Event Management, Arts Management, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent experience)

AGREED WORKING DAYS AND CONDITIONS

From April 20, 2024, the role begins part-time, spanning 23 weeks until September 30, 2024. Initially, it entails 2.5 days or 20 hours per week, gradually transitioning to full-time hours during delivery periods. Weekend work, travel, and anti-social hours may be necessary.
