This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys building models from the ground up and can combine strong technical modelling expertise with commercial understanding. The business is looking for someone who can create a dynamic and agile model that gives both the leadership team and external lenders confidence in the financial direction of the company, whilst also allowing flexibility to adapt as projects evolve.

The successful candidate will take ownership of developing a fully integrated 3-statement financial model, linked directly to QuickBooks for real-time financial visibility and reporting. Key areas of focus will include:

  • Building a fully integrated 3-year financial model from scratch
  • Developing vertical 3-statement modelling across P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow
  • Linking the model to QuickBooks for live updates and improved visibility
  • Creating dynamic assumptions and scenario analysis functionality
  • Supporting sensitivity and what-if analysis across live construction projects
  • Analysing the impact of project delays/slippages on profitability and cash flow
  • Implementing robust financial checks and controls throughout the model
  • Supporting conversations with banks, lenders and key stakeholders
  • Advising on assumptions around debtor days, creditor days and working capital management

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have strong financial modelling experience, ideally within construction or project-led environments
  • Be highly proficient in Excel and QuickBooks
  • Have experience building sophisticated models from scratch
  • Be commercially minded and able to translate operational activity into financial impact
  • Understand cash flow management within construction projects
  • Be comfortable working closely with senior leadership and external stakeholders
  • Be available at short notice or immediately available for an interim assignment

This role would suit someone who enjoys creating structure, clarity and insight within a growing business environment where their work will have genuine visibility.
