With ambitious growth plans, we are expanding our Clinical team to extend our first-class support to more patients, providing them with the tools they need to live life to the fullest. As a Specialist Prescribing Pharmacist - Cannabis with Curaleaf International, you will play a key role in enabling patients to achieve their optimum level of health and independence, while consistently delivering an exemplary standard of care. This is a part-time role with flexible scheduling options:
- Weekday option: 24 hours per week, Monday to Friday
- Weekend option: 16 hours over Saturday and Sunday
You can work fully remotely or hybrid with some on-site presence depending on your preference.
About The Role
In this part-time role, you will support patients throughout their Curaleaf journey, from initial enquiry through to ongoing evaluation and management of their treatment. You will conduct remote consultations to assess patient suitability, manage treatment plans safely and effectively, and deliver high-quality patient care in line with clinical protocols and organisational policies. You will collaborate with the wider MDT while working autonomously, providing patients with consistent, compassionate, and professional care.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver a patient-focused prescribing service remotely or on-site
- Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments and prescribe where appropriate
- Manage a defined caseload, including follow-ups and treatment reviews
- Maintain accurate, timely, and comprehensive patient records
- Identify and manage clinical risks, escalating when necessary
- Attend and contribute to MDT meetings (remotely or on-site)
- Provide clear, accessible information to patients and carers regarding their treatment
- Support audits, research, and quality improvement initiatives
About You
We are looking for a highly organised, flexible Prescribing Pharmacist who thrives in a dynamic clinical environment and shares our commitment to delivering outstanding patient care. You will be confident working independently and able to coordinate your workload effectively, whether part-time during the week or over weekends. To be successful, you will:
- Be a GPhC-registered Prescribing Pharmacist (IP)
- Demonstrate strong clinical knowledge and patient care skills
- Have a genuine interest in cannabis-based medicinal treatment assessment, management, and evaluation
- Be adaptable to flexible scheduling, remote work, or hybrid arrangements
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of emerging treatments and clinical developments
It would be beneficial if you have:
- Post-registration experience in clinical or prescribing settings
- Experience with remote consultations or hybrid working
- Involvement in audit, research, SOP development, or clinical governance
- Previous exposure to cannabis-based medicinal products
