Independent Prescribing Pharmacist – Curaleaf International
Position: Full‑time (on‑site in Sunderland, 2‑3 days per week, or fully remote within the UK).
About the Role
Support patients throughout their Curaleaf journey, from initial enquiry to ongoing evaluation and management of treatment.
Conduct video review appointments following consultant initiation and ensure safety and effectiveness of treatment plans in line with clinical protocols and organisational policies.
Responsibilities
- Deliver an effective, patient‑focused clinical service.
- Evaluate, organise and prioritise workload effectively.
- Advise and support a defined caseload, providing guidance to colleagues when required.
- Manage patient follow‑ups and resolve issues proactively and professionally, using escalation processes where appropriate.
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive patient records.
- Attend and contribute to multi‑disciplinary team meetings.
- Provide patients and carers with clear, accessible written information regarding their treatment.
- Offer clinical advice to healthcare professionals on the management of patients using cannabis‑based medicinal treatments.
Qualifications
- GPh C Registered Pharmacist with an independent prescribing qualification.
- Strong clinical knowledge and patient care skills.
- Regular clinical use of prescribing qualifications.
- Genuine interest in Cannabis‑Based Products for Medicinal Use (CBMPs).
- Ability to coordinate and deliver programmes of care.
- Adaptable and open to implementing improved ways of working.
- Up‑to‑date knowledge of emerging treatments and clinical developments.
- Post‑registration experience within a clinical setting (beneficial).
- Previous exposure to cannabis‑based medicinal treatments (beneficial).
