As part of our expansion, Curaleaf are looking for an Accredited Checking Technician to join our Pharmacy. At Curaleaf International, we are not just participating in the cannabis industry—we're leading it. Our emphasis on quality and expertise aims to deliver safe and legal cannabis.
Curaleaf Pharmacy is the UK’s first distance selling pharmacy specialising in medical cannabis, regulated by the GPhC. The pharmacy fulfils medical cannabis prescriptions supporting safe and affordable access to medical cannabis.
About the Role:
Working from our main office in Sunderland, this is a high-volume pharmacy role like no other. You will be labelling, handling, and dispensing prescriptions for controlled drugs, ensuring all regulations and Standard Operating Procedures are followed, but you will not be in a direct customer-facing environment. This would be suited to someone who holds enough of a passion for pharmacy work to not require the external drive of in-house customers.
Duties will include, but not be limited to:
- Helping manage the Controlled Drugs registers and complying with relevant legal controls
- Building professional relationships, both internally and externally
- Stock control
- Maintaining dispensary cleanliness and standards
- Working alongside the Customer Service and Admin teams to manage our patients’ expectations via email and telephone
- Efficiently organising workload and dispensary layout to ensure efficiency
- Aiding in completion and organisation of pharmacy paperwork
- Providing the final accuracy check on prescriptions before dispatch to our patients
- Assisting dispensers with queries, training, and guidance
About You:
To be successful in this role, you must have strong numeracy, literacy, and IT skills in order to navigate our bespoke software. It is essential you:
- Are NVQ Level 3 Accuracy Checking Technician Qualified
- Partake in continuing your professional development, maintaining your GPhC registration
- Willing and eager to learn about medicinal cannabis products
- Have a great eye for detail
- Maintain a calm demeanour, even under pressure and with tight deadlines
- Are adaptable with excellent problem-solving skills
- Can self-motivate while working autonomously
- Appreciate the value in working as part of a wider team
Although the following are not essential, for this role it would be great to have:
- Experience working in a fast-paced Pharmacy
- DBS certificate on the update service (will be provided by company if not in place)
