Responsibilities:
- Help the Chef to deliver food service of high quality within the home, and also with meal service to the residents.
- Prepare and cook all daily meals for residents and staff.
- Plan, prepare and cater for modified diets and special events such as birthdays, ensuring the highest quality and presentation of the food served.
- Demonstrate the uppermost standards in cleanliness, food safety and hygiene in the kitchen area.
- Clean and take care of equipment used to carry out tasks, and report any need for maintenance or replacement to the Catering Manager.
- Be organised and good at keeping records as well as able to follow recipes.
