The successful applicant will:

  • Deliver food service of high quality within the home, and also with meal service to the residents.
  • Prepare and cook all daily meals for residents and staff. Also plan, prepare and cater for modified diets and special events such as birthdays, ensuring the highest quality and presentation of the food served and making sure the residents are happy with the service delivered in the home.
  • Demonstrate the uppermost standards in cleanliness, food safety and hygiene in the kitchen area, including all equipment and appliances, adhering to all regulatory and statutory requirements and company policies and procedures.
  • Clean and take care of equipment used to carry out tasks, such as utensils, plates, etc., and report any need for maintenance or replacement to the Catering Manager.
  • Be organised and good at keeping records as well as able to follow recipes.

  • Someone who likes to be proactive and forward thinking, who is passionate about cooking home cooked and nutritionally balanced meals as well as keeping the Kitchen clean and tidy.

  • Available to work every Saturday and Sunday, plus holidays cover.
