Cura Terrae is looking to recruit a PR and Communications Officer to join our growing Marketing and Communications team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a creative communications professional who is passionate about storytelling, media relations, and bringing to life the work of a purpose‑driven organisation. You’ll play a key role in enhancing Cura Terrae’s profile, reputation, and visibility by sharing stories about our people, projects, and environmental impact.

We are a collection of forward‑thinking environmental companies united by our commitment to making the world a better place for people and the planet.

This is an incredibly exciting time for us at Cura Terrae as we continue to grow and strengthen our position as a leading environmental consultancy group, providing rewarding and fulfilling opportunities for talented individuals.

As PR and Communications Officer, you’ll be at the heart of Cura Terrae’s storytelling and brand building efforts shaping how we share our expertise, achievements, and purpose with the world. Your role is about bringing our work to life through timely, newsworthy stories that demonstrate the value we deliver and the impact we make.

Your work will make Cura Terrae’s expertise visible and respected, positioning the group as a credible and influential voice externally, while also engaging and inspiring employees internally. You will secure media coverage, speaking opportunities, awards, and strategic partnerships that elevate the group’s profile, and create internal communications that connect people to Cura Terrae’s purpose, achievements and brand.

Working closely with the Group Marketing Manager and teams across the business, you’ll craft engaging narratives that tell our story, build strong media relationships, and deliver content for both external and internal audiences that reinforce our expertise, values, and positive environmental impact.

This role is ideal for a proactive communicator who thrives on variety and creativity, from pitching stories and drafting press releases to producing content that celebrates our people, highlights our projects and reinforces the Cura Terrae brand.

You’ll join a collaborative, supportive marketing team that values innovation, teamwork, and professional growth.

What you’ll be doing…

  • Managing and delivering day‑to‑day PR and media relations activities.
  • Identifying, developing, and telling compelling stories about Cura Terrae’s people, projects, and expertise.
  • Translating technical or niche work into accessible and engaging narratives.
  • Building and maintaining relationships with journalists, editors, and event organisers.
  • Securing media coverage, interviews, features, and commentary opportunities.
  • Identifying and coordinating speaking engagements, conference panels, and award entries.
  • Developing internal communications campaigns that engage and inform employees.
  • Tracking, evaluating, and reporting on communications performance and media coverage.

What we’re looking for…

You’ll be a confident and creative communicator with proven experience in PR, communications, or media relations (either in‑house or agency‑side). You’ll bring energy, curiosity, and a talent for transforming technical or specialist work into stories that resonate.

  • Proven experience in PR, communications, or media relations.
  • Exceptional writing and storytelling skills for both internal and external audiences.
  • Demonstrated success in securing media coverage and managing press relationships.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Confident working with senior leaders and technical experts.
  • Proactive, resourceful, and able to spot opportunities to elevate Cura Terrae’s profile.
  • Collaborative team player with a positive, can‑do attitude.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally to other Group sites.
  • Experience in the environmental, sustainability, or professional services sectors.
  • Knowledge of internal communications and employee engagement strategies.
  • Familiarity with media monitoring or PR analytics tools.

What we can offer…

In addition to offering a competitive salary we also offer a wide‑ranging set of employee benefits which include:

  • 25 days holiday allowance (ising to 30 days)
  • Health Cash Plan (Westfield Health)
  • Cycle to Work Scheme
  • Employee Training and Mentoring Support

  • A paid volunteering day each year
