Are you an experienced ecologist with strong bat mitigation and EPS licensing experience looking for a role where you can take more ownership of projects and shape how ecological solutions are delivered? At Cura Terrae, our Land & Nature division has been delivering ecological and environmental consultancy for over 30 years. You’ll play a key role in leading projects, supporting colleagues, and delivering practical, high‑quality solutions to complex ecological challenges.

The Role:
  • Lead and manage ecological projects from inception to completion.
  • Deliver and oversee bat surveys, impact assessments, and mitigation strategies.
  • Produce and review high‑quality technical reports.
  • Support and mentor junior ecologists.
  • Contribute to project planning, tenders, and client relationships.
  • Work collaboratively across multi‑disciplinary teams.
What we’re looking for:
  • Strong experience in UK habitat and protected species assessment.
  • Proven experience in bat surveys, mitigation design, and implementation.
  • Bat survey and/or mitigation licence (highly desirable).
  • Sound knowledge of legislation, particularly EPS licensing.
  • Strong report writing and technical review skills.
  • Experience managing projects and, ideally, people.
  • Relevant degree in ecology or related discipline.
  • A proactive, flexible approach with strong attention to detail.
