We are recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced and driven Care Home Manager to lead the successful operation of a well-established nursing/residential home. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate leader who is committed to delivering outstanding, person-centred care while driving occupancy, performance, and regulatory excellence.
About the Role
As Care Home Manager, you will take full responsibility for the day-to-day running of the home. Operating within a regulated environment, you will ensure full compliance with CQC standards, while delivering exceptional care and achieving strong commercial performance. You will be supported by a dedicated internal team including a Deputy Manager, Administrator, and Hospitality and Housekeeping teams, alongside external Operations and Central support functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strong leadership to the staff team, fostering a culture of kindness, compassion, and high-quality care
- Ensure full compliance with all regulatory requirements and maintain excellent care standards
- Manage the home's budget and drive financial performance
- Develop and execute a marketing strategy to maintain full occupancy
- Build and maintain strong relationships with residents, families, and stakeholders
- Lead on continuous improvement with the aim of achieving and sustaining Outstanding ratings
Skills & Experience
- Proven experience managing a nursing or residential care home
- Strong working knowledge of CQC standards, with a track record of achieving high ratings
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Commercially aware with experience driving occupancy and business performance
- Passionate about delivering person-centred care
- Ability to contribute to the growth and development of the service
Desirable: NMC registered nurse with relevant post-registration experience
