About the Role

As Deputy Home Manager, you will play a key role in the day-to-day management of the home, ensuring the delivery of exceptional care and support for all residents. You will lead by example, oversee care staff, and step into full management responsibilities in the absence of the Home Manager. You will support staff development, maintain high standards of care, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, while building strong relationships with residents, families, and external professionals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Home Manager in the overall running of the home
  • Supervise, lead, and motivate the care team
  • Deliver hands-on guidance, training, and mentoring to staff
  • Assist with pre-admission assessments of new residents
  • Ensure care plans and daily records are accurate and up to date
  • Promote person-centred care and involve residents and families in care planning
  • Maintain compliance with all relevant regulatory standards
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with families, visitors, and healthcare professionals

  • Previous experience as a Deputy Home Manager (essential)
  • Strong understanding of CQC standards and regulatory requirements
