An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Care Home Manager to join a well-established care provider. This role is ideal for a passionate and driven leader with experience managing a residential or nursing care home and a strong commitment to delivering outstanding, person-centred care. The successful candidate will oversee the day-to-day operations of the home, ensuring the highest standards of care are maintained while achieving regulatory compliance, financial performance and occupancy targets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daily management and operation of the care home.
  • Provide strong leadership and support to the staff team, promoting a culture of kindness, compassion and high-quality care.
  • Ensure the home remains fully compliant with CQC regulations and all relevant legislation.
  • Maintain exceptional standards of care, ensuring residents receive safe, effective and person-centred support.
  • Manage the home's budget and financial performance, ensuring resources are used effectively.
  • Develop and implement marketing initiatives to support occupancy levels and promote the home's services.
  • Build positive relationships with residents, families, healthcare professionals, local authorities and other stakeholders.
  • Monitor quality assurance, identify areas for improvement and drive continuous service development.
  • Work closely with the wider operational support teams to ensure the smooth running of the home.

Support is provided by dedicated Operations and Central teams, alongside an established Deputy Manager, Administrator, Hospitality and Housekeeping teams.

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Previous experience managing a residential or nursing care home.
  • A strong working knowledge of CQC standards and regulatory requirements.
  • A proven track record of achieving or working towards Good or Outstanding CQC ratings.
  • Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills.
  • Experience managing budgets and driving commercial performance within the private care sector.
  • A successful background in maintaining occupancy through effective marketing and relationship building.
  • A genuine passion for delivering exceptional person-centred care.
  • The ability to lead, motivate and develop high-performing teams.
