We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client for a dedicated and experienced Senior Support Worker to join their care team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about delivering high-quality, person-centred care while supporting and leading a team. As a Senior Support Worker, you will play a key role in ensuring residents receive outstanding support tailored to their individual needs. You will promote dignity, independence, and wellbeing, while also contributing to the development and performance of the wider care team.

Role Overview

You will be responsible for recognising and facilitating the daily needs of residents, ensuring high standards of care are consistently maintained. The role also involves conducting formal supervisions and appraisals, contributing to care planning, and coaching Support Workers to reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support residents with personal care needs in a respectful and dignified manner
  • Promote independence and choice in daily living activities
  • Conduct staff supervisions, appraisals, and performance reviews
  • Contribute to and update individual care plans
  • Provide leadership, mentoring, and coaching to Support Workers
  • Ensure high standards of care are consistently delivered
  • Work collaboratively as part of the care team

Skills and Attributes

  • Previous experience in a senior care or similar role
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • Compassionate, empathetic, and caring nature

Education and Qualifications

  • NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or working towards)
