Company Overview: Water Utility Company based in the Yorkshire region of England.
Location: Blackburn Meadows WWTW, covering the whole of Yorkshire. Successful applicants must be within a 30‑minute commute from the treatment works.
Position Summary: This is a permanent, full‑time role delivering 40 hours per week on a night shift (Monday‑Thursday 19:30‑06:00). The candidate will travel to operational sites across the region and must hold a full valid UK driving licence (no more than 6 points).
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Recycler Technician in operating a recycler safely and optimally.
- Respond to reactive blockage reports and deliver high‑standard customer interaction.
- Support high‑work‑volume and wet‑weather incident management.
- Participate in the proactive desilt programme: sewer inspection, cleaning, and defect resolution.
- Ensure first‑time‑fix solutions for customers and the environment.
- Record and raise quality follow‑on work as per standards and specifications.
- Collaborate with Yorkshire Water teams and contracted partners on site.
- Collect and collate data for evidence capturing.
- Maintain health and safety compliance on all tasks.
- Demonstrate financial awareness and provide technical support to promote cost‑effective solutions.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Full valid UK driving licence (no more than 6 points).
- Strong health and safety background.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for liaising with ops, customers, and stakeholders.
- Proficiency with IT systems and Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to diagnose issues, think proactively, and work collaboratively.
- Commitment to ongoing personal development.
